PROGRAM COORDINATOR AEP
CERGE-EI is a joint workplace of the Center for Economic Research and Doctoral Studies of Charles University and the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, v.v.i. and has long been ranked among the institutions producing the highest quality economic research. CERGE-EI connects education and cutting-edge research in all areas of theoretical and empirical economics, including areas related to economic development and public policies.
AEP: Academic Experience in Prague at CERGE-EI is an undergraduate study abroad program for students from U.S. universities who wish to study in Prague for a semester or a full year. Students choose AEP for its engaging academics, cultural immersion opportunities, and dedicated support from program staff. In addition to programming during the academic year, AEP also hosts short-term custom programs, primarily during the summer months.

We are looking for a colleague for the position of A PROGRAM COORDINATOR AEP.
What do we expect from you?
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and run regular cultural events for students studying in Prague with the goal of deepening their understanding of Czech life and culture.
- Coordinate logistics and bookings for program excursions.
- Accompany students to medical or other appointments as needed to reduce language and cultural barriers.
- Co-lead orientation sessions to help students learn about life in Prague.
- Provide support to program staff in administrative tasks, including enrollment processes and student queries.
- Be available to assist students on an ad-hoc basis with questions and issues.
- Assist program staff with social media posts, website content, and student communications.
Skills & Experience
- Advanced oral and written proficiency in both Czech and English. Native-level Czech (or Slovak) preferred.
- Experience studying, living, or working abroad.
- Enthusiasm for international exchange and student learning.
- Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexible, problem-solving attitude and an ability to adjust priorities to respond to urgent tasks.
- Ability to remain calm and demonstrate confidence when supporting students in stressful situations.
- Willingness to work non-standard hours (occasional weekends and evenings), especially during peak periods.
- Ability to travel within the Czech Republic and neighboring countries for up to ten days at a time.
- At least secondary education with a high school diploma.
- Willingness to learn new things and a positive attitude to work.
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit.
